A visit to Kutandala combines well with stays at other National Parks in the region, particularly South Luangwa. There are many operators in the South Park with camps to suit all preferences and budgets. Robin Pope Safaris (www.robinpopesafaris.net) are recommended.

How to get here

Access is from Mwaleshi Airstrip - an hour's drive from Kutandala Camp. The flight from Mfuwe (South Luangwa) to Mwaleshi takes approximately 45 minutes and costs US$200 per person each way with a minimum booking of two people and is easily arranged on completion of a booking.

When to Visit

Kutandala Camp is open from the 15th of June through to the 31st of October. Although it is dry throughout this time, the temperature rises progressively.
